product description
Y/Project FW 2022 Sherling Split Wire Vegan Leather Jacket First launched in 2010 by the Moroccan designer Yohan Serfaty, the Paris-based label was originally designed for men. But with Glenn Martens now at the helm, Y/Project has expanded to also include a dedicated womenswear line. First a junior designer with Gaultier, Martens left that house to replace the late Yohan Serfaty of Y/Project and inherited an atelier in mourning. In its quick rise to the runways of Paris, the brand has mastered a look of tailored slouch and unfussed élan. This blend of poise and apathy has been described as “visual catnip,” fresh and unpretentious yet technically impressive. Y/Project’s latest collections feel distinctly modern in their carefully tousled silhouettes—all crisp wrinkles and amorphous folds—something a brand less than ten years old is at an advantage to grasp. This incredibly soft leather jacket comes with a thick shearling lining keeping you warm in the coldest conditions. The double ended YKK zippers on the front and back and thick wire lining in the enormous hood allow for an unlimited amount of styling options, guaranteed to turn heads wherever you go. The sheer size of the hood alone is enough to have everyone staring. This may be one of your only chances to purchase an extremely rare piece of art that you will never regret. Worn a handful of times but still in perfect condition inside & out. Size M but it’s huge so fits more like a L. Measurements: Length: 23 inches Sleeve: 23 inches Shoulder: 22 inches Hood Height: 16 inches Hood Circumference: 42 inches
about Y/PROJECT
Antwerp Royal Academy alumni and Y/PROJECT founder Glenn Martens designs “gender fluid” collections that are instantly recognizable by their oversized silhouettes and deconstructed aesthetic. Most pieces are modifiable - think adjustable sleeves and hems. It’s an irreverent take on the cult street style movement.
